Barring Congress from insider trading, requiring Congress to pass an FBI background check just like any other civil service employee, requiring Congress to actually READ the laws they vote on, and the implementation of the FAIR TAX. These four things WILL solve our problems as a nation. NOT ideas developed though misguided and deceiving Robin Hood lenses that are rooted in socialism. Our answers are accessible. Just as when your barn find Classic Car needs work, you get out your Chiltons Manual. When your Country is on its way to becoming a Rust Heap in a Field, you break out - The Constitution.
Actually although those four things would be helpful, they still keep the government in a "Corporate" state. Many do not know that in 1892 the senators in this country, bought off by banking concerns from Europe, change the language of the constitution. A long, slow boil as it were and now we are seeing the fruition of a corporate psychopathic government. If we returned the power to the states, eliminated the fed, irs and other alphabet agencies, we would be in fine shape. Getting back to honest money is the first step. I know you know this.
ReplyDeleteAgreed. The passage of the17th Amendment in 1913 exacerbated things even more. The framers believed that in the direct electing of senators, state legislatures would cement their ties with the national government. According to Article I, Section 3 of the Constitution, “The Senate of the United States shall be composed of two Senators from each state, chosen by the legislature thereof for six Years.” Our Founders believed that this approach would give the States themselves a more equal stance in keeping the Federal government's power in check. One must ask that if we never had the 17th Amendment would Harry Reid have been able to pull off the Nuclear Option?
